Georeference Background of the Republic of Lithuania GDB10LT – the component of the whole Lithuanian Republic territory georeference data base at scale 1:10000, that consists of the Lithuanian Republic territory geodetic and topographic data bases’ main elements, that were methodically organized according to the geoinformation principles.

GDB10LT covers the whole territory of Lithuania – 2782 map sheets (2229 map sheets are of general usage and 553 map sheets of restricted usage). Basic scale of of the georeference background of the Republic of Lithuania is 1:10000. The main cartographic material (basic map) that was used for creating geodata are digital orthophotographic maps at scale 1:10000.

Data

GDB10LT consists of separate graphic data layers: map sheet division scheme for the territory of Lithuania, points of geodetic network, geographic name annotations, the State border, rivers, streams and canals, roads, railroads, hydrographic objects expressed in area.

Mathematical background

GDB10LT information is stored in the State geodetic co-ordinate system and map sheet division scheme LKS-94.

Application range

GDB10LT also can be used for cadaster and register care, for general and special plans of municiplaities, transport network organization, logistics, justice system, military purposes, security and crisis prevention tasks to solve.

Assignement clauses

GDB10LT data is assigned in standard map sheets according to the national 1:10000 scale map sheet division scheme and numbering – LKS94.

GDB10LT data is assigned in ArcInfor format layers. GDB10LT data can be recalculated to other co-ordinate systems, they can be mapjoined, converted and assigned in different formats upon a separate agreement. It is possible to obtain georeference background data of the Republic of Lithuania in separate layers.

The copyright of GDB10LT belongs to the National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture. Official authorized distributor and manager of GDB10LT is the State Enterprise “GIS-Centras”. The number of licences, disposal possibilities and copyright for the georefernce background of the Republic of Lithuania is regulated by the licence agreement between the State Enterprise “GIS-Centras” and the User.
